M/S Birka Gotland
M/S Birka Gotland, built at Aker Finnyards, Finland in 2004, is one of the finest, but not biggest cruise liners on the Baltic Sea. She was decommissioned in 2020 at the beginning of covid, and was held in port at Mariehamn until Gotlandsbolaget and Viking Line decided to take her over as a joint venture last year. And after two successful cruises with Viking Cinderella we have been welcomed back.
M/S Birka Gotland is a pure cruise ship with no car deck, and her regular route is Stockholm-Mariehamn, but can also go to other destinations, such as Visby, Gotland, especially during summer. But for us, we will this time make a shorter 21hr trip to Mariehamn, Åland.
