Monday Bar Spring Break Cruise

CONCEPT
Since 2002, four times every year, over 2000 clubbers gather together for one of the most fun and unusual events in the world, the Monday Bar Cruises. Only clubbers are allowed onboard, no families or regular cruise passengers.
Top international and local djs spin during a party cruise across the Baltic Sea and archipelago from Stockholm (Sweden) to destinations such as the Baltic states of Finland, Estonia and Latvia. All sound and light equipment are upgraded to highest standards and the dance floors and bars are open non stop.

THE CRUISE
On this particular cruise, Monday Bar Spring Break Cruise 2010, the ship sails to Tallinn, the beautiful and historical capital of Estonia. Over 20 djs are booked to spin dance music ranging between trance, house, techno, hardstyle, hard trance, free form, etc. We're very proud to present the highest ranked dj in the world, Armin van Buuren, who will perform a 3 hour set on the main floor together with djs such as Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Rank 1 to name a few.
On our second floor, Monday Bar Hard floor on deck 7, we're proud to present a number of local and international hard dance djs the first night, and the second night, FINRG, a group af freeform djs from Finland.
The full lineup on all floors will be presented shortly. Please return soon for update.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Do I need a passport to get onboard?
A valid photo ID is required to get onboard the ship. If you are planning to visit Tallinn on Saturday, you need to be able to prove your nationality by passport or european national ID.
Is there a dress code?
No, but many guests make an effort to dress up (or down). Whatever takes your fancy. Anything goes!
Does it cost anything to get into the clubs/dance floors onboard?
No, you only pay for what you consume or buy onboard such as food, drinks and duty free goods. Dance floors are free and open to all.
Can I bring my own music?
Smaller sound systems such as "boom blasters", computer sound systems etc are allowed inside the cabins as long as you don't disturb your neighbors, especially between 06.00-10:00 in the morning.
What currencies and credit cards are accepted on board?
Swedish Krona (SEK), Euro (EUR), estonian Krona (EEK) as well as most major credit/charge cards are accepted onboard. At the information desk (deck 5) you can change major foreign currencies to Krona or Euro. However, it is advised to bring cash as well since credit card control lines may not always function out on open sea.
What if I get seasick?
The ship is a huge modern cruise liner and you will hardly notice that you are on a boat. At the information desk (deck 6) you can ask for medicine if you experience temporary discomfort.
More useful information can be found on the ferry line company's official site. However, please note that certain rules on this web page do not apply to this specific cruise, such as age limits, etc.

AIRPORTS
Stockholm-Arlanda airport
The closest airport is Stockholm-Arlanda, approx. 45 km north of Stockholm. This is the main airport of Stockholm where most major international and domestic airlines fly to.
From the airport (and back), you can go by train "Arlanda Express" that takes approx. 20 minutes and costs SEK 240 (≈ €24). You get a 50% discount if you are under 25 years, student or retired. During weekends you can go 2 for 1.
The bus takes 40 minutes and costs SEK 110 (≈ €11) with no youth or student discounts. The bus and train leaves approx. every 10 minutes and go to the central train station in Stockholm City.
Taxi takes approx. 30 minutes off rush hour and will take you directly to the ferry terminal. Its convenient and fairly cheap if you share with friends, but make sure you get a fixed price when dealing with the cab driver before you leave. A taxi trip from the airport to Stockholm (or reverse) should never exceed SEK 500 (≈€50). A taxi regular cab takes four passengers. With a bigger car/van (max 9 persons), the price is approx. SEK 700 (≈€70).
If you chose to go by taxi at rush hour, anywhere between 08:00-10:00 or 16:00-18:00, make sure to add another 30 minutes to make it to your destination in time.
Stockholm-Skavsta airport
A new, budget airline airport approx. 110 km south of Stockholm for airlines like Ryan Air, Wizz Air etc. More far away from Stockholm, but with shorter time for checkin, baggage handling etc.
Only buses go from here. They cost SEK 150 (≈ €15) and take about 90 minutes to Stockholm. No youth or student discounts.
We do not recommend taxis from this airport unless you are in an extreme hurry. Taxis to Stockholm (and reverse) can be very expensive (up to SEK 1500 ≈ €147) and will quickly consume the money you saved by going with a budget airline.
The buses from/to Stockholm-Skavsta airport don't go very often, so make sure that you have plenty of time on your hand.

TRAINS & SUBWAY
The easiest way to go to the ferry terminal from anywhere in Stockholm is via the subway system. All lines go to "Stockholm Central" the main train and subway station. The end line to the closest to the ferry terminal is marked "Ropsten" (Red line number 13). The stop to get off is "Gärdet" (the second last stop before the end of the line).
At Gärdet, make sure that you continue to the exit in the direction the train is going. Out on the street, go left downhill (approx. 100 meters) and continue across the busy street to a walk path through a green area that will lead you to a bridge leading directly to the ferry terminal (approx. 200 meters). When you arrive with the subway, there will be many people heading for the ferry terminal so just follow the "flow" or ask someone if you're lost.
TAXI
Stockholm City <-> Silja Line ferry terminal
A taxi to the ferry terminal from central Stockholm costs about SEK 120-160 (€12-16). A good advice is to agree on a fixed price before. The address of the ferry terminal is: "Siljaterminalen, Värtahamnen". There are several other ferry terminals in Stockholm so make sure you go to the right one.
Need help to book flights, hotel, etc?
The Tallink-Silja Line booking office can also assist you with booking flights, trains, hotel, etc, regardless of where your travel originated. Since they have special arrangements with hotels, airlines and train companies, you will most likely get a better price for the whole trip compared to regular travel agencies, airlines, etc.
